Bardiya National park

The Bardia National Park, which is located in the Bardia district and is split in half by the Babai and Karnali rivers, is an excellent place to preserve Nepal’s biodiversity. With a total area of 968 sq km, the national park is the biggest in Nepal. This national park is one of the best since human interference didn’t have an impact on it. In this huge national park, there are excellent reserves for Bengal Tigers and one-horned rhinos. Due to the movement of several rivers and the contribution of the Siwalik Hills, the park has a great floral grandeur. This park’s topography and woodlands include subtropical moist deciduous forests, alluvial grasslands, and wetlands. The entire park is made up of a diverse mixture of savannah, riverine woodlands, and grasslands.

Tiger

There are 839 floral species found in this national park, including vascular plants, dicots, monocots, ferns, gymnosperms, and other species. Many types of birds, fish, and other endangered creatures are protected in Nepal’s Bardia National Park. The park has a total of 642 kinds of wildlife. The main and most endangered animals in the park include the Asian Elephant, Bengal Tiger, and one-horned rhinoceros. Bardia National Park has gained a lot of notoriety, particularly for these three creatures. The number of Bengal Tigers is also steadily increasing thanks to the reserve centers’ valiant efforts. Along with these three, there are a variety of other species that may be seen in this area, such as spotted deer, samber, barking deer, nilgai, black buck, wild boar, leopard, golden hyena, etc. Additionally, ornithologists and bird enthusiasts will love this national park’s location. There are at least 400 different bird species present. In the winter, a lot of birds visit the park. The Bengal Florican, Sarus Crane, White-rumped vulture, Bar-headed geese, and Lesser Florican are just a few of the unusual and rare bird species that can be spotted in the park.

There are plenty of different fish species, too. More than 125 different kinds of fish can be found in the waters of the Babai and Karnali rivers. The aquarium’s most well-liked fish species are gangetic dolphins. The park is also famous for its species of crocodile. There is a crocodile breeding facility close by, and Marsh Mugger Crocodiles are particularly well-known. The park is also a haven for 23 different kinds of reptiles and amphibians. This national park is offering protection for all of these many wildlife species with all of its water and food resources.
