The upper dolpo

The Mid-Western Nepalese Himalayan Range, which is situated between the Tibetan Plateau and the Dhaulagiri Himalayan range, is reached by way of the Upper Dolpo. A great chance to hike in a Nepalese region with little damage is the Upper Dolpo Circuit Trek. Up until 1996, the area was off-limits to tourists. Similar to this, hikers on the Great Himalayan Trail might get the chance to travel back in time and learn about the unchanging Tibetan culture that was preserved 1200 years ago.

The fact that Tibetan Buddhism and the old religious gurus of Bon Po culture still exist in the area is particularly striking. She Poksundo National Park, the nation’s largest national park, is covered in the hunt for the Upper and Lower Dolpo, with difficult and occasionally unmarked trails cutting through numerous mountain towns. Along with other animals, the park is home to unique snow leopards, Himalayan blue sheep, and musk deer. Additionally, the region offers refuge amid a thrilling Tibetan-speaking race.

With Crystal Nirvana Treks and Expedition, the Upper Dolpo Circuit Track begins with a sweep in Nepalganj, a city in southwest Nepal. From there, we take a quick flight to Dunae in Juphal, where our journey officially begins. From there, we keep traveling down the path until we reach the street gompa. The features of this Upper Dolpo circuit course are Ringmo and She Gompa. We spend days exploring the spectacular snow-capped mountains of Kanjibro Himal and the deep-green waters of Lake Poksundo. We travel to She Gomba, a rural settlement also known as the Crystal Monastery.
